Information for Research Participants

We want to tell you about a research project that we are doing. As research is a way to learn more about something, we would like to find out more about what children think about singing, especially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.You are being asked to join the study because you are a child between the age of 9 and 15 years old.

If you agree to join this study, you will be asked to complete this online survey. The survey is anonymous which means that we will not know your name, only how old you are, and in what town you live, and what school you attend.. You will be asked to tell us what you think and feel about singing, if you sing at home or at school, and what you think about singing as a result of the pandemic. The survey will take you about 20 minutes to complete. Here are some examples of what the questions will be and what they will look like:

We do not know if this study will help you, but we know that we will learn from what you tell us and that this will help us and will help teachers and other children learn about singing someday.

You do not have to do this survey. It is up to you. If you want to stop doing the survey, you simply can stop and close the online form. No one will be mad at you if you don’t do the survey.
